These Carbon Monoxide Alarms should be interconnected only within the confines of a single family living unit. If they are connected between different units there may be excessive nuisance alarms. Everybody may not be aware that they are being tested etc.
CO ALARMS AND SMOKE ALARMS SHOULD NOT BE INTERCONNECTED!
This is because the actions to take in each situation are very different.
In the case of CO the premises should be fully ventilated by opening doors and windows. The user should call his gas supplier etc.
In the case of fire ,doors and windows should be closed, to slow the spread of fire. The user should call the fire brigade etc.
