Suspending ZxA1 Loudspeakers

Electro-Voice ZxA1 loudspeakers may be safely suspended with single stud fittings by using the MP1 suspension kit, or quickly attached to a truss by using the CA-Zx truss clamp adaptor (both sold seper- ately). See MP1 or CA-Zx instruction sheets for proper assembly and use.

WARNING: Suspending any object is potentially dangerous and should only be attempted by individuals who have a thorough knowledge of the techniques and regulations of rigging ob- jects overhead. Electro-Voice strongly recommends that ZxA1 speakers be suspended taking into account all current national, federal, state and local regulations. It is the responsibility of the installer to ensure that ZxA1 speakers are safely installed in accordance with all such regula- tions. If ZxA1 speakers are suspended, Electro-Voice strongly recommends that the system be inspected at least once a year. If any sign of weakness or damage is detected, remedial action should be taken immediately. There are instruction sheets for each EV Suspension and Array Kit that should also be consulted prior to suspending speakers.

ZXA1-90, ZXA1-100 specifications

Electro-Voice, a trusted name in professional audio, has introduced two remarkable speakers in their ZXA1 series: the ZXA1-100 and ZXA1-90 model. Both models stand out for their exceptional sound quality, lightweight design, and durability, making them ideal for various applications, from live performances to installations.

The ZXA1-100 is powered by a 1000-watt Class D amplifier, which delivers impressive sound clarity and a wide frequency response. It features a 12-inch woofer, providing deep bass and dynamic mid-range tones, while the high-frequency driver ensures that the highs are crisp and clear. This speaker excels in both vocal reproduction and instrument reinforcement, making it a versatile choice for musicians and audio professionals.

On the other hand, the ZXA1-90 is designed with a slightly smaller footprint, featuring a 10-inch woofer and a 90-degree coverage pattern. This model offers a lower power capacity compared to the ZXA1-100 but is still equipped with a powerful 800-watt amplifier. Its impressive sound dispersion makes it suitable for smaller venues and events, allowing for effective sound delivery without overwhelming the space.

Both models come with advanced technology, including the integrated Signal Sensing feature that automatically detects incoming audio signals and powers up the speaker when needed. This feature, combined with built-in protection against thermal and over-current issues, ensures reliable performance even during extended use. The speakers are equipped with a high-quality crossover network that optimally balances the output between the woofer and the tweeter, resulting in a smooth frequency response.

In terms of construction, the ZXA1 series speakers feature a robust enclosure designed to withstand the rigors of touring and live gigs. The lightweight yet durable design makes them easy to transport while providing sufficient protection against physical damage. Additionally, the dual-angle pole mount allows for versatile setups, whether mounted on stands or used as monitors.

Overall, the Electro-Voice ZXA1-100 and ZXA1-90 speakers represent a blend of power, clarity, and convenience. With their unique features and technologies, they are well-suited for a variety of sound reinforcement demands, making them a valuable addition to any audio system. Whether used for live performances, DJ sets, or as part of a permanent installation, these speakers deliver professional-grade sound that meets the expectations of even the most discerning audio enthusiasts.
