Auxiliary Input Jack (AUX IN)

This unit includes a 3.5mm Auxiliary Input Jack on the back panel. This allows you to connect external auxiliary music sources such as an iPod® Shuffle, other MP3 players, or personal CD players, and listen to those devices through the speaker of this unit.

1.) Connect the headphone jack of your external device to the AUX IN jack on the back panel of this unit. (NOTE: The connection cable is not included.)

2.) Turn on the power to this unit and to your external device.

3.) Set the Band/Function selector of this unit to the AUX/iPod position.

4.) Begin playback of your external device as usual. You should hear the sound of your external device through the speaker of this unit.

5.) Adjust the volume controls of this unit and your external device to the desired level.

6.) When you are finished listening shut off the power on this unit and on your external device.

IMPORTANT!

You must remove the connection cable from the Auxiliary Input(AUX IN) Jack on the back of this unit in order to listen to an iPod® connected to the docking station on the top panel.

When a cable is connected to the AUX IN jack, the docking station is automatically disconnected.
