7.6.2 SNMPSettings
 Thisoptionallowsyoutoassignthecontactdetails,location,andcommunitynameandtrap
settingsforSNMP.Thisisanetworkingmanagementprotocolusedtomonitornetwork‐attached
devices.SNMPallowsmessages(calledprotocoldataunits)tobesenttovariouspartsofa
network.Uponreceivingthesemessages,SNMP‐compatibledevices(calledagents)returndata
storedintheirManagementInformationBases.



 SNMPEnable/Disable:ChoosetoenableordisabletheSNMPfeature.
 Contact:Specifythecontactdetailsofthedevice.
 Location:Specifythelocationofthedevice.
 Read‐OnlyCommunityName:SpecifythepasswordforaccesstheSNMPcommunityforread
onlyaccess.
 Read‐WriteCommunityName:SpecifythepasswordforaccesstotheSNMPcommunitywith
read/writeaccess.
 TrapDestinationIPAddress:SpecifytheIPaddressofthecomputerthatwillreceivetheSNMP
traps.
 TrapDestinationCommunityName:SpecifythepasswordfortheSNMPtrapcommunity.
