Caution: Never use a hard or abrasive brush, or alcohol or
thinner for cleaning; they can damage the components and
case.
Don’t get water on the components and don’t spray lubricants
or oils inside PictureMate.
Printing and Operation Problems
The On light and photo viewer screen don’t turn on.
Press the POn button to turn on PictureMate.
Make sure the power cable and AC adapter are
securely connected at both ends.
Make sure your power outlet works and is not
controlled by a wall switch or timer.
If you’re using the optional battery, it may not be
charged. Connect the AC adapter and plug it into
an electrical outlet to charge the battery.
If you’re using the optional battery, PictureMate
automatically turns off after 15 minutes if it is not
being used. Press the POn button to turn it back
on.
The photo viewer screen goes blank.
The screen shuts off after 13 minutes if PictureMate is
not used. Press any button (except the POn button)
to turn it back on.
PictureMate makes an unexpected noise after you
install a photo cartridge.
The first time you install the photo cartridge,
PictureMate charges its print head for about three and
a half minutes. Wait until charging finishes before you
turn it off, or it may charge improperly and use more
ink the next time you turn it on.
Your PictureMate makes an unexpected noise when
you turn it on or after it has been sitting for a while.
PictureMate is performing routine maintenance.
PictureMate sounds as though it is printing, but
nothing prints.
PictureMate may be preparing to print.
The print head may need cleaning. See page 57.
PictureMate won’t work properly if it’s tilted or at
an angle. Place it on a flat, stable surface.
