Cleaning the Product

To keep the product working at its best, you should clean it several times a year.
Caution: Do not use a hard brush, benzine, alcohol, or paint thinner to clean the product or you may
damage it. Do not place anything on top of the cover or use the cover as a writing surface, or it could get
permanently scratched. Do not use oil or other lubricants inside the product or let water get inside.
1. Turnoff the product.
2. Unplugthe power cable.
3. Disconnectany connected cables.
4. Removeany paper from the product.
5. Cleanthe sheet feeder and paper support using a soft brush or a soft, lint-free cloth (microfiber is
recommended).
6. Cleanthe outer case with a soft cloth dampened with a mild detergent.
7. Plugthe power cable back in, and turn on the product.
8. Cleanthe paper path, if necessary.
Note: Close the paper support and the output tray when you are not using the product to protect it from
dust.
