LPR printer protocols
LPR printers use LPR over TCP/IP as their communication protocol suite, and both protocols must be installed to use the Status Monitor to monitor a LPR printer.
Win 95:
Windows 95 does not come with LPR, so in addition to installing TCP/IP, as described below, you need to install the EPSON TCP/IP printer protocol. The Status Monitor installer program automatically prompts you when to install EPSON TCP/IP, see “Installing EPSON Status Monitor 2” on page
