84 6 • Troubleshooting
The entire image or parts of the image are blurred or out of focus.
Try rotating the focus ring to focus the image.
Check to ensure that the projector is positioned at the proper
distance from the screen (page 5).
For best results, the projector must be perpendicular to the screen
and the projection surface must be flat.
Try adjusting the brightness and contrast settings available in the
Computer and Video menus. Note that you can also adjust synchro-
nization using the <Up> and <Down> buttons of the operation panel.
Check the lens for dirt or dust. Use the procedure described on page
74 for details on cleaning the lens.
Abnormal image coloring
The color balance may not be set properly.
When you are displaying a computer image, you can use the Compu-
ter Menu to adjust the red and blue settings.
If you are displaying a video image, use the Video menu to adjust the
color intensity and tint settings.
No sound
Check if the audio output is muted. Try pressing the Mute button on
the remote control or operation panel.
Check to ensure that the volume is not turned all the way down.
Check to ensure that the video/audio cable is connected securely to
the audio source and projector.
Check to ensure that the wrong source has not been selected. Try
selecting a different source by pressing the Computer or Video
button on the remote control or operation panel.
