HOW TO MAINTAIN
Routine maintenance helps avoid unnecessary service calls. Be sure to check dust bag and brush roll belt often to be certain vacuum cleaner works properly.
Detachable Dust Bag
The dust bag should be emptied often especially when vacuuming plaster dust or fine sand. The fine particles clog bags and restrict air movement decreasing the cleaning efficiency of the vacuum cleaner.
NOTE: Turn off power switch and unplug electrical cord before cleaning dust bag. Never operate vacuum cleaner without dust bag.

NOTE: Never wash or dry clean cloth bag.
Brush Roll
As the brush roll rotates it sweeps and picks up particles of dust. Keep brush roll free from hair or thread so it continues to clean.
NOTE: Turn off power switch and unplug electrical cord before cleaning brush roll.
Brush Roll Belt
The brush roll belt rotates the brush roll to provide better cleaning. The belt should be checked regularly. Replace belt when it appears to be stretched or cracked and not turning the brush roll properly.
NOTE: Turn off power switch and unplug electrical cord before replacing belt. Belt pulleys can become hot during normal use. To prevent injury, avoid touching belt pulley when servicing drive belt.
