After inserting new batteries, press the RESET button and then press ON/START to turn the unit on. You’ll hear a beep and the high score achieved on the game will be displayed. Press ON/START again to start the game. You have a total of 10 minutes and three lives for each game. If you achieve a score that beats the cur- rent high score, a light will flash on the screen and music will play, proclaiming your victory! Use the four cursors (UP, DOWN, RIGHT and LEFT) to move Harry through the jungle. Press the JUMP button to avoid tar pits, crocodiles and other dangers. Need to catch your breath? Simply press the PAUSE button. To resume game play, press the ON/START button to continue. If Pitfall Harry dies before collecting all of the treasures, you can press the ON/START button
