Groove
• Position the steering column retainer so that the hooked tabs
are upright and the groove is facing you.
• Fit the steering column retainer behind the steering column,
as shown.
• Fit the groove in the steering column retainer to the steering column.
• Insert and “snap” the three tabs on the steering column retainer into the slots in the steering linkage.
• Make sure all three tabs on the steering column retainer are in the slots in the steering linkage.
4SIDE VIEW
•Turn the vehicle upright.
•Pull the handlebar up to be sure the steering column is secure.
•If you can remove the steering column, you have not assembled the steering column retainer correctly. Please refer back to Assembly step 3.
