How to Make a Bag from a FoodSaver Roll

Place Bag on Sealing Strip

Lock Lid by Pulling Side Locks

Press and Release On/Cancel Button

1.Cut enough bag material from roll to hold item to be vacuum packaged, plus 3 inches. Be sure to cut a straight line.

2.Open appliance lid and place one end of bag material across Sealing Strip (J), not over rubber gasket (I).

3.Set Seal Control Switch (K) to 1 .

4.Close lid. Lock lid by pressing lightly down on stars and pulling side locks (F) forward until they click into place.

Press and release On/Cancel Button (C). Motor

 

will start and Indicator Lights (D) will turn on in

 

sequence. Side locks (F) will automatically release

 

while motor is running.

When motor stops, sealing process is complete.

 

Open lid and remove bag.

Now you are ready to vacuum package with your new bag (see below).

Place Bag in Vacuum Channel

Lock Lid by Pulling Side Locks

Press and Release On/Cancel Button

1.Place item(s) in bag, allowing at least 3 inches of space between bag contents and top of bag.

2.Open appliance lid and place open end of bag down into Vacuum Channel (H).

3.Set Seal Control Switch (K) to:

1for vacuum and seal.

2to vacuum and extended seal (for moist or juicy foods such as raw meat).

4.Close lid. Lock lid by pressing lightly down on stars and pulling side locks (F) forward until they click into place.

5. Press and release On/Cancel Button (C). MotorBags

will start and Indicator Lights (D) will turn on in sequence. Locks will automatically release while motor is running.

6. When vacuum process is complete, motor will stop. Open lid and remove bag. Refrigerate or freeze as needed. (See FoodSaver Reference Guide for food safety tips.)

Tip: The On/Cancel Button can also be used to cancel vacuum process mid-way and open lid.

Note: Let appliance cool down for 20 seconds after each use.
