Finding Parts of Words

You can find prefixes, suffixes, and other parts of words by typing asterisks in words. Each asterisk can stand for any series of letters.

✓Tips for Finding Letters

•You can type both question marks and asterisks in a word.

•You can type asterisks at the beginnings of words, but the spelling corrector may take a while to find matches.

•You can use question marks to help solve crossword puzzles and similar word games by typing them in place of missing letters.
