Using the Menus: Shooting Mode

NISO

Control the camera’s sensitivity to light. Higher values can be used to reduce blur when lighting is poor; note, however, that mottling may appear in pictures taken at high sensitivities. If AUTO (1600), AUTO (800), or AUTO (400) is selected, the camera will adjust sensitivity automatically in response to shooting conditions. The maximum values that will be selected by the camera at settings of AUTO (1600), AUTO (800), and AUTO (400) are 1600, 800, and 400 respectively.

1Note

Sensitivity is not reset when the camera is turned off.
