Use this mode to take close-up shots.

The Macro mode setting changes each time you press the ().

Focal range Wide angle:

Approx. 4 cm to 3.0 m (1.6 in. to 9.8 ft.) Telephoto:

Approx. 60 cm to 3.0 m (2.0 ft. to 9.8 ft.)

Focal range in Super macro

Approx. 1 cm to 1.0 m (0.4 in. to 3.3 ft.) (Wide-angle only)

Effective flash range

Approx. 30 cm to 3.0 m (1.0 ft. to 9.8 ft.)

MEMO

Use a tripod to prevent camera shake in Macro mode.

Any of the following cancels Macro mode:

- Changing the Mode dial to

- Turning the camera off

If the flash is too bright, use flash brightness adjustment ( P.89).

• Even if MULTI ( p.87) in the AF MODE is set, the camera focuses near the center of the screen.

AF-assist may not function correctly if the camera is up close to the subject, such as in macro-mode.

ZUsable Memory Cards

You can use the xD-Picture Card, the SD Memory Card and the SDHC Memory Card with the FinePix S5700 / FinePix S700 / FinePix S5800 / FinePix S800. In this Owner’s Manual, these cards are expressed as “Memory Card”.
