Taking Pictures in G(SCENE RECOGNITION) Mode

4 Focus.

Press the shutter button halfway to focus on the subject.

If the camera is able to focus, it will beep twice.

If the camera is unable to focus, the focus frame will turn red and Rwill be displayed.

Note

•The lens may make a noise when the camera focuses. This is normal.

5 Shoot.

Smoothly press the shutter button the rest of the way down to take the picture.

Tip: The Shutter Button

•The shutter button has two positions. Pressing the shutter button halfway sets focus and exposure; to shoot, press the shutter button the rest of the way down.

Note

•If the subject is poorly lit, the flash may fire when the picture is taken. To take pictures without the flash, choose another flash mode (pg. 35).
