Using the Menus: Shooting Mode

FMOVIE AF MODE

(defaults to r)

This option controls how the camera selects the focus area for movies.

	Option	Description
	rCENTER	The camera focuses on the subject in the center of the frame.
	uCONTINUOUS	The camera continuously adjusts focus to reflect changes in the distance to
	uCONTINUOUS	subjects near the center of the frame.

RNote that in umode, the camera focuses continuously, increasing the drain on the battery, and that the sound of the camera focusing may be audible.

WMOVIE MODE

(defaults to i)

Choose a frame size for movies (P64).

aSTILL SHOOTING IN MOVIE

(defaults to MOVIE PRIORITY)

Choose how the camera records photographs taken during movie recording(P65).

	Option	Description
	MOVIE PRIORITY	The camera takes a photograph without interrupting movie recording.
		Image size is determined by the option selected for WMOVIE MODE.

		The camera interrupts filming to take the photograph and resumes film-
	STILL IMAGE PRIORITY	ing automatically when recording is complete. Image size is determined
		by the option selected for OIMAGE SIZE, but note that the photograph

		will be recorded at size Pif Ois selected.

	JAE BKT EV STEPS	(defaults to ±1/3)

Choose the size of the exposure bracketing increment used when OAE BKT is selected for RCONTINUOUS. Select from increments of +1/3 EV, +2/3 EV, and +1 EV (note that the camera may not be able to use the selected bracketing increment if the amount of over- or under- exposure exceeds the limits of the exposure metering system).
