Taking Pictures in I_1 (Auto) Mode

This section describes how to take pictures in a (auto) mode.

Turn the camera on.

Press the ON/OFF button to turn the camera

on.

The first time the camera is turned on, Intelligent FaceDetection is automatically activated and the camera is optimized for taking portrait photo- graphs. For more information on using Intelligent Face Detection, see page 20.

2 Select I_ mode,

Rotate the mode dial to I_.

3 Check the battery level,

Check the battery level in the monitor.

IndicatorDescription

(]})(white) Battery partially discharged.

(_) (white) Battery more than half discharged.

(_ (red) Low battery. Charge assoon as pos- sible.

(_) (blinksred) Battery exhausted. Turn camera off and charge battery.
