P, S, A, and M Modes

P, S, A, and M modes provide full access to the shooting and F-mode menus. S, A, and M modes also offer control over shutter speed and/ or aperture.

Shutter Speed and Aperture

Choose fast shutter speeds to freeze motion, slow shutter speeds to suggest motion by blurring moving objects.

Small apertures bring objects behind and in front of the main subject into focus, while large apertures emphasize the main subject by blurring background and foreground objects.
