Troubleshooting and tips

If a fault occurs in your Pocket PC, try to eliminate it with the measures desc ri bed i n t his chapter. If
you fail to correct the problem, proceed as follows:
Ê Make a note of the steps and the circumstances that led to the fault. Also make a note of any
error messages displayed.
Ê Switch the Pocket PC off.
Ê Contact your sales outlet or our Hotline/Help Desk.
Installing new software
General information on installation of additional programmes you will find in Microsoft User’s Guide
on the CD "Pocket LOOX AddOn & Documentation".
When installing programmes or drivers, important files may be overwritten and modified. To be able
to access the original files in case of problems following installation, you should mak e a bac kup
copy prior to installation (see the chapters "Synchronising data with ActiveSync “ and " B acking up
data with LX Backup“).
Date or time of the Pocket PC is incorrect
Ê Touch Start.
Ê Select the Settings entry in the menu.
Ê Select the System tab.
Ê Touch the Clock symbol.
Ê Depending on your preference, you can change the time by moving the click hands or by
entering the desired time.
Ê Touch OK (navigation bar) to confirm your setting.

The display of the Pocket PC remains dark

Display lighting is switched off
Ê Press the Suspend button longer than 1 second.

Ê Turn the Pocket PC until you can see the information in the display again.
