AB. on-board SCSI-/ SAS RAID-Controller for accessible drives and SAS HDD´s -> SAS Version

The system will be delivered with a 8-port SAS RAID controller for the connection of SAS HDD´s

This SAS RAID Controller is equipped with 256MB Cache and BBU (suporting the RAID level 0, 1, 5, 10, 50), and can be used only for the connection of internal disks drives.

Additonally the system is equipped with a two channel Utra 320 onboard SCSI controller

This on-board SCSI controller can be used for the connection of internal or external tape devices.

The following rules apply for the cabling:

The cables for the connection of the SAS RAID controller to the disks in the system are includes in the base unit. If an internal tape is configured, an additional SCSI cable is needed. (see section "IV Hard disk drives / Tapes" )

For the connection of external Tape devices to the on board SCSI controller, also an additional cable is needed in the system. (plus cable to connect to the subsystem SX10, see configurator SX10)
