Changing the Appearance of a Trail Line
You can change the appearance of a trail line for a specific tracked vessel.
Note: The Mariner’s Eye 3D chart is available if you use a BlueChart g2 Vision SD card. The Fishing chart is available if you use a BlueChart g2 Vision SD card or a BlueChart g2 SD card, or if your
1.From the Home screen, select Charts.
2.Select Navigation Chart, Fishing Chart, Perspective 3D, or Mariner’s Eye 3D.
3.Select Menu > Other Vessels > DSC List.
4.Select a vessel.
5.Select Review > Edit > Trail Line.
6.Select a color for the trail line.

Selecting a DSC Channel
Note: The selection of a DSC channel is limited to those channels that are available in all frequency bands: 6, 8, 9, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 67, 68, 69, 71, 72, 73, or 77. The default channel is 72. If you select a different channel, the chartplotter uses that channel for subsequent calls until you call using another channel.
1.From the Home screen, select Information > Other Vessels > DSC List.
2.Select a vessel or a station to call.
3.Select Call with Radio > Channel.
4.Select a channel.
Making an Individual Routine Call
NOTE: When initiating a call from the chartplotter, if the radio does not have an MMSI number programmed, the radio will not receive call information.
1.From the Home screen, select Information > Other Vessels > DSC List.
2.Select a vessel or a station to call.
3.Select Call with Radio > Send.
The chartplotter sends information about the call to the radio.
4.On your Garmin VHF radio, select Call.
Making an Individual Routine Call to an AIS Target
When you connect your Garmin chartplotter to a Garmin VHF NMEA
1.From the Home screen, select Charts.
2.Select a chart or a 3D chart view.
3.Touch an AIS target .
4.Select AIS Vessel > Call with Radio > Send.
The chartplotter sends information about the call to the radio.
5.On your Garmin VHF radio, select Call.
