B. Emptying the Recovery Tank
NOTE: Turn off the power switch and unplug the carpet shampooer/ extractor to empty the recovery tank.
| 1) | Press the recovery tank latch downward to release the tank from the carpet |

| shampooer/extractor unit as shown in Figure 1. |
| 2) | Slide the recovery tank out from the lower portion of the carpet |
|
| shampooer/extractor unit. |
| 3) | Lift off the recovery tank lid and empty contents into a suitable water |
|
| drain. |
FIGURE 1 | 4) | Rinse out the recovery tank and tank lid thoroughly. |
| 5) | Remove and clean the filter by rinsing it with water after each use. Place |
|
| the same filter back in the recovery tank as shown in Figure 2. |
| 6) | Replace the recovery tank lid by aligning notches in lid over tank tabs. |
| 7) | Close lid securely. |
| 8) | Return the recovery tank to the carpet shampooer/extractor unit. |
| 9) | Push the recovery tank all the way into carpet shampooer/extractor until |
|
| secure. Be sure the ridge on the latch snaps securely in place. |
10) Resume cleaning.
