Breads

Crust on breads will be soft and the outsides will not brown. If desired, sprinkle top ot’ batter with cinnamon-sugar mixture, chopped nuts or other topping for brown color. To increfise

brown color on upside down breads, line dish before microwaving wi[h brown sugar-caramel mixture or sdvory topping, such as crushed, canned, French-fried onion rings.

Place batter in grc~sed dish.

Sprinkle cooking dish with finely chopped, canned, French-fried onions before microwaving. Turn out of pan upside down to serve.

Use microwdve-safe mufiin container or homemade mutiin cups, made by cutting down hot drink paper cups. Some muffins mtiy be done before others. Remove muffins as they are done, and continue cooking remainin& rnufiins u few seconds longer.

When done, toothpick inserted near center will come out clean. Let stand 15 minutes before turning out of dish. Coo].

*It’ tube dish is umrvailtible, microwave in 8-in, round dish with drinking glass placed open-end-up in center.

Cakes and Desserts

1.Always usc microwave-stife cookware.

2.Before adding measured amount of batter. gretise dishes or line them with wax paper. (Do not flour. )

3.Cakes tire done when toothpick or long skewer inserted into center comes out clean.

4.Coo] cake in dish set directly on heat-proof surf;]ce or wooden board 1 () to 15 minutes before inverting.

5.Crust on cakes will be soft. If cake is to be trosted, refrigertite cake for an hour to firm exterior surface.

6.Chiffon and angel food cakes are not recommended for microwaving.
