OPERATION

PLACING A LOAD

WARNING

Do not sway the machine with the boom angle indicator arrow

(B)at more than 0 degrees. By doing so you could cause a roll over hazard which may result in injury or death.

DANGER

Always apply the parking brake by toggling the parking brake switch (C) forward before lifting and/or placing a load. Failure to do so could allow the machine to roll over which may result in injury or death.

CAUTION

Always bring the machine to a complete stop before applying the parking brake (C). Failure to do so will damage the parking brake disc packs, which may void the axle warranty.

Before placing a load, the frame should be leveled. This can be done by the use of the switch labeled sway control (D) located on the forward side of the right arm rest. The frame sway control is used in conjunction with the machine level indicator

(E)located in the center of the cross support that the interior rear view mirror is mounted on. The sway control switch is either toggled left or right depending on the particular require- ment. Adjust the sway control (D) until the indicator ball on the level gauge (E) is on the 0 degree mark.

WARNING

Always ensure that the machine level indicator (E) is at zero (0) degrees before raising the boom. Raising the boom with an unlevel machine may cause the machine to overturn, resulting in injury or death.

WARNING

Use the frame sway control to level the machine only when the boom angle indicator (B) is at 0 degrees or less. Using the frame sway control when the angle indicator is more than 0 degrees may cause the machine to overturn, resulting in injury

or death.

Genie, a leading manufacturer of aerial work platforms and material handling equipment, has a reputation for delivering powerful and reliable machines. Among their impressive lineup are the Genie GTH-842, GTH-644, and GTH-844 telehandlers, each designed to meet the diverse needs of construction and industrial environments.

The Genie GTH-842 telehandler is known for its exceptional lift capacity and versatility. With a maximum lift height of 42 feet and a load capacity of 8,000 pounds, the GTH-842 is capable of reaching high spaces while managing substantial loads. It features a 4-wheel drive system that ensures stability and traction on uneven terrain, making it an ideal choice for job sites where mobility is essential. Its hydrostatic transmission allows for smooth operation and easy maneuverability, giving operators the confidence to navigate tight spaces and challenging conditions. Additionally, the GTH-842 comes equipped with an optional 2-speed transmission, enhancing travel speed and efficiency.

The GTH-644 model is smaller yet robust, boasting a maximum lift height of 44 feet and a load capacity of 6,000 pounds. This telehandler is designed for operators who need a compact machine without compromising performance. Its tight turning radius and compact dimensions facilitate work in confined spaces, making it a favorite for residential construction and other projects where space is limited. The GTH-644 also features an advanced joystick control system that enhances user-friendliness, allowing operators to efficiently operate the machine with precision.

On the other hand, the Genie GTH-844 offers a combination of height and capacity, with a lift height of up to 44 feet and a maximum lift capacity of 8,000 pounds. This model is particularly adept at handling heavy materials while providing excellent reach. It includes a durable boom design that enhances stability, along with advanced hydraulic controls for improved responsiveness. The GTH-844 benefits from enhanced visibility due to its well-designed cab, allowing operators to have clear sightlines of their work area.

All three models incorporate Genie’s signature strength and durability, featuring robust construction and high-quality components. Safety is paramount, and Genie has integrated multiple features across these models, including advanced sway control and load sensing systems to prevent overload situations. Operators will also appreciate the easy access to maintenance points, ensuring that these machines can be serviced quickly and efficiently.

In conclusion, the Genie GTH-842, GTH-644, and GTH-844 telehandlers stand out in the marketplace due to their combination of performance, versatility, and user-friendly features. Whether working on construction sites, industrial tasks, or in tight spaces, these telehandlers are equipped to handle a variety of lifting and material handling challenges with ease. Genie continues to evolve its technology, ensuring that operators have access to machines that enhance productivity while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
