6.2Vehicle Seat Belt Requirements•TheVEHICLE seat must face forward.
•DONOT use infant restraint on vehicle seats with seat backs that
willnot lock in an upright position. DO NOT use seats that can fold
downwithout having to release a lock or latch of some kind. These
seatscan fly forward and strike the child in a sudden stop or crash.
MANYSEAT BELT SYSTEMS ARE NOT SAFETO USE WITH THE
INFANTRESTRAINT. THEVEHICLE SEAT BELT MUST BE
DESIGNEDTO HOLD THE INFANTRESTRAINT TIGHTLY AT
ALLTIMES.
Paycareful attention to these systems; some of the seat belts that are
notsafe to use look very much like seat belts that are safe to use. If
