1)UsinganM11wrench,remove the plunger retainer.

2)Slide outthe seal retainer with

oilwick andrubberbarrier slinger.

31 With aslight twistingmotion,

loosentheplunger fromthe plunger rod and remove

NOTE: Thestudmayremain with the retainer when removed. Disassemble

andscrewstud into plungerrodfinger-

tight.

41ReplaceO-ring andback up ring

on plunger retainer.

51 Saturatenewoilwick by soak- ing in oil.

6)Installnewplunger.

71 Replace plungerretainerand torque to 80 in-lb (9 N.m).

81 Installnewoilwickin sealre- tainer.

9)Replacebarrier slingerover new plunger.

101 Lubricate each plunger sleeve and carefully slide manifold onto crankcase.

Seals or V-Packings

11 RemoveC-ring from sealcase.
2) Thenremovethe	low pressure
seal from the sealcase.				8
3) Unscrewthe sealcase from the
manifold using a special key				0
wrench(801-044):
Removethehigh	pressureseal
and examine. Beforereplacing,
lubricateIDand	OD ofnew
highpressure seal and press into
manifold.
NOTE: A socketandexten-
sion may	beused to			V
pressuresealfrom
~. manifold.
Install new O-ring on sealcase						240
and lubricate OD-of O-ring.		9) Lubricateeachplunger	sleeve	10)Torque all four (4) boltsto
Screw seal case into manifold.		and carefully slide manifoldonto		in-lb (27N.m).
Lubricate ID and	OD oflow	crankcase.

ReplaceC-ringholding	low	fold onto plungers, ex-		ofrespectivepartsand
