Head Adjustment
Proper adjustment of the head and column is necessary to ensure that mortiser travel is smooth and precise. Two bolts located at the back of the head control the tightness of the head and column. If movement of the head becomes sloppy, tighten the bolts until the travel is smooth and solid. Should the head movement become too difficult, loosen the bolts until movement is satisfactory.
