Test Run
once assembly is complete and the sharpener
is firmly mounted to a workbench, test run the
machine to make sure it runs properly.
if, during the test run, you cannot easily locate
the source of an unusual noise or vibration, stop
using the machine immediately, then review the
Troubleshooting on Page 30.
if you still cannot remedy a problem, contact our
tech support at (570) 546-9663 for assistance.
To test run the machine:
1. make sure you have read the safety instruc-
tions at the beginning of the manual and that
the machine is setup properly.
2. make sure all tools and objects used during
setup are cleared away from the machine.
3. turn the machine ON (push the "|" button).
4. listen to and watch for abnormal noises or
actions. the machine should run smoothly
with little or no vibration or rubbing noises.
strange or unusual noises should be inves-
tigated and corrected before operating the
machine further. always disconnect the
machine from power when investigating or
correcting potential problems.
5. turn the machine OFF (push the "O" but-
ton).
Power Connection
Before the machine can be connected to the
power source, an electrical circuit and connec-
tion device must be prepared per the POWER
SuPPLy section in this manual, and all previ-
ous setup instructions in this manual must be
complete to ensure that the machine has been
assembled and installed properly.
always make sure the oFF ("O") button is pushed
in before connecting the sharpener to power.
insert the machine power cord plug into a match-
ing power supply receptacle. the machine is now
connected to the power source.
if you need to disconnect the machine from power
later, pull the plug completely out of the recep-
tacle.
