Sanding

Use the 358" triangular platen accessory and either a red or white sanding pad.

The sanding pads use a hook-and-loop system, which provides easy attachment and removal. To install the sanding pad, align the pad with the platen and press on firmly (see Figure 6).

Tips for sanding:

Practice on similar scrap material and inspect results before working on intended workpiece.

Adjust speed according to materi- al type. Using high speed removes material quickly and can result in non- uniform surfaces.

Use sweeping side-to-side motions with uniform pressure and speed.

Check sanding pads for wear and dust accumulation between jobs. Clean or replace sanding pads as necessary.
