The child lock enables you to block scenes on DVDs which are not
suitable for children or to select alternative scenes. This is done by
selecting a certain access level.

Authorising the contents of a DVD

Films on DVD may be wholly or partially unsuitable for children.
These DVDs contain information which marks the corresponding
content or scenes. This works with several access levels from »1« to
»7« and »Off«. You can select one of the access levels and thereby
authorise alternative scenes for playback.
1Call up the main menu using »i«.
2Select the »Child Lock« menu item with »a« or »s« and acti-
vate with »OK«.
– The Code line is highlighted in blue.
3Enter your four-digit personal code number with »1...0« and
confirm with »OK«.
– The icon (DD) opens (FF).
4Select »Access level« with »A« or »S« and activate with
»OK«.
5Press »S« or »A« to select the access level and »OK« to
confirm.
6Enter your four-digit personal code number with »1...0« and
confirm with »OK«.
– The icon (FF) closes (DD).
7Press »i« to exit the menu.
Note:
If you have forgotten your personal code number or lost it,
please use the „master code” listed in the Troubleshooting sec-
tion on page 46.
