Operation with rechargeable batteries

When using the built-in recharge- able nickel metal hydride batteries, use the mains adapter 9 supplied as a charger.

1Plug the mains adapter 9 into the G socket,

and plug the mains adapter into the mains socket.

The indicator F lights up red.

The green

status displays show how the charging is progressing. They flash until the respective capacity has been reached (20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 %) and then remain lit.

Once charging is complete, all status displays are lit in green.

Notes

7Completely charge up the batter- ies (24 hours) before you first use them or if you have not used them for a long time.

7After the batteries are first charged, the charging time is approx. 12 hours when the appliance is switched off. If you switch on the appliance while it is charging, charging will stop.

7The ambient temperature should be between 5 °C and 40 °C.

7When fully charged, the appliance works for around

45 minutes. It is not advisable to charge the batteries after every use, especially if you do not use the appliance for the full 45 min- utes. Only charge the batteries when they are completely dis- charged. This increases their life. Do not charge them every day.

7The green status displays show the capacity of the respective rechargeable batteries. If, for example, a capacity of only 40 % is reached, the green displays 20 and 40 light up. If the recharge- able batteries are completely empty the red charge indicator flashes.
