NOISE PRECAUTIONS

Exposure to high noise levels is hazardous to hearing. Always wear ANSI ap- proved hearing protection when operating or working around the Chipper/Shredder when it is running.

CAUTION: The warnings and precautions discussed in this manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the operator.

UNPACKING

When unpacking, check to make sure all the parts shown on the Parts Lists are included. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.

Engine instructions

Before starting the Engine

CAUTION! Your warranty is voided if you do not put engine oil in the Engine’s crankcase prior to its first use.

STARTER RECOIL GRIP

The Engine MUST be filled with a high quality engine oil. If the Engine will be run in temperatures above 32 degrees Fahrenheit, use SAE 10W-30 weight oil. If the Engine will be run in temperatures below 32 degrees Fahrenheit, use SAE 5W-30 weight oil.
