Pattern Adjustment

Warning!! Never exceed the Maxi- mum Inlet PSI of 115 PSI.

1.If you need to reduce the air pressure for specific areas, adjust the pressure regulator of the air compressor.

2.To set the pattern size specific to the job, use the Pattern Control Knob

(10)(see FIG. 1). By turning it coun- terclockwise (all the way open), the pattern will flatten. Turn the Pattern

Control Knob (10) clockwise for a round pattern. (See FIG. 4 below.)

Flat/OpenRound/Closed

FIG. 4

1.Turn the Needle Adjusting Screw (16) clockwise until it is fully closed. (See FIG. 1.)

2.After setting up a piece of scrap ma- terial, squeeze the Trigger (7) in short bursts while turning the Needle Ad- justing Screw (16) counterclockwise and observe the spray patterns until you see the pattern you want. Also, look at the pattern for consistency. Too much air may cause the spray to come out too fine. Reduce the air pressure or allow more material to come out by opening the Needle

Adjusting Screw (16). If the spray appears too thick (you see globs of paint), close down the Needle Adjust- ing Screw (16) slowly, checking the mixture after each adjustment. (See FIG. 5 below.)
