
To prevent accidents stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug lead before attempting to carry out maintenance procedures on the mower.

Throttle Cable Adjustment
Loosen the outer cable clamp screw (1) and move the governor | 2 | |

control lever (2) to the left as far as possible. Insert a large, flat | ||

blade screw driver (3) into the slot in the engine control bracket (4) | ||
at the angle shown. Push the governor control lever to the right |

until it just touches the screw driver blade. Move the throttle con- |

trol lever to the ‘fast’ position (not the ‘choke’ position) and re- | 4 | |
tighten the outer cable clamp screw. Replace the engine cowl. | ||

Carburettor Adjustments
Should only be made by an authorised Briggs & Stratton dealer. Under no circumstances should the engine be adjusted to run at a speed in excess of that shown on the Declaration of Conformity.
