D. Disassemble Vent Sections• Rotate either section (see Figure 10.9) so the seams
on both pipe sections are aligned as shown in Figure
10.10.
• Pull carefully to separate the pieces of pipe.

E. Install Metal Roof FlashingNote: Skip to Section 10.G. if using the RF4-8.
• See minimum vent heights for various pitched roofs
(Figure 10.11) to determine the length of pipe to extend
through the roof.
• Slide the roof fl ashing over the pipe sections extending
through the roof as shown in Figure 10.12.

NOTICE: Failure to properly caulk the roof fl ashing could
cause water entry.
• Caulk the gap between the roof fl ashing and the outside
diameter of the pipe.
• Caulk the perimeter of the fl ashing where it contacts the
roof surface. See Figure 10.12.
