How to Set Smooth Cooktop BurnersNote: You may hear slight "clicking" sounds during cooking. These sounds are normal and indicate the control is maintaining the
power level set on the knob.
Burners A,B, E & F:
-Pushtheknobsinandturnineitherdirectiontothesettingdesired.
-Thehighernumberselectedrepresentsthehighertemperature.
-Atboththelow(1)andhigh(7)settings,thecontrolwill"click"intoposition.
Controlwillalso"click"andpopbackup,intheoff(0)position.
-Pleasebesurecontrolknobisturnedoff(0)whenyournishedcooking.
Dual Surface Unit Control Knob - Burner C:
Dualelementhastwocookingsizesavailabletoselectfrominordertooffer
theversatilitytomatchthesizeoftheheatingelement,tothesizeofthe
cookwarebeingused.
To use the inner surface heating element(5-6"):
-Pushtheknobinandturncounterclockwisetosettings1through3.
Controlpanelscreeningmatchescorrespondingheatingelementselected.
To use the entire heating element (8-9"):
-Pushtheknobinandthentosettings1through5.
Controlpanelscreeningshowsbothinnerandoutersurfaceunitsheating
-Thehighernumberselectedrepresentshighertemperature.
Bridge Burner operation - Burner D (48" models only):
BridgeBurnerofferstheversatilityofusingtherearelementonlyortherear
elementandthebridge(Fig.A),thefrontelementonly(Fig.B)orallthree
settingssimultaneously,thankstothetwoseparatecontrols.
To use the rear element only:
-Pushtheknobinandturncounterclockwisetosettings1through3.
To use the rear and bridge sections:
-Pushtheknobinandturntosettings1through5.
Controlpanelscreeningmatchescorrespondingheatingelementsselected.
Thehighernumberselectedrepresenthightemperature.
To use front element in bridge burner:
-Pushknobinandturnineitherdirectiontothedesiredsetting.
Thehighernumberselectedrepresentsthehighertemperature.
To use all three elements simultaneously:
-Operatebothcontrolsandturntodesiredsettings.
Indicator lights (allBurners):
Ageneralburnerindicatorlightwillglowredwhenoneormoreradiant
heatingelementsareturnedon,andwillremain"on"untilthelastheating
elementisturnedoff.
Eachburneralsohasadedicatedlightwhichwillglowwhentheradiantele-
mentishot,andwillremain"on",evenafterthecontrolhasbeenturnedoff,
untilthesurfaceiscooledtoapproximately150degreesFahrenheit.
