(1) ( Play) Button

Use to playback recorded tape.

(2) (Rewind) Button

Use this button to fast rewind tapes or for visual search.

(3)A/V DUB Button Use this button to record new audio and video over existing audio and video. See "Using Audio /Video Dubbing" on page 54.

(4) (Stop) Button

Use this button to stop playback, fast forward, or rewind.

(5) DISPLAY Button

Use this button to select the viewfinder or LCD monitor and TV display.

(6) (Fast Forward) Button

Use this button to fast forward tapes or for visual search.

(7) (Pause/Record) Button

In CAM mode, press this button to start recording. When pressed a second time the camcorder pauses. During playback use this button to stop the tape temporarily. Pressing a second time resumes normal playback.

(8) COUNTER RESET Button

Use this button to reset the linear time counter to "0:00:00".

This button can always reset the displayed time to "0:00:00", which is helpful when you are using the counter memory function. See "Using Memory" on page 46.

(9) TITLE ON/OFF Button

Use this button to create or record a title.

If you press this button during playback and recording, the selected or created title will appear. Pressing the button again switches off the title.
