Using Forward and Reverse Search

When looking for a particular point in your videotape use the F.FWD button and REW/REVIEW button to find the scoot quickly.

When the LCD monitor is closed:

Press the F.FWD button during playback to play the tape forward at approximately 9 times normal speed. Press the PLAY button to return to normal playback.

Press and hold the F.FWD button during fast forward to visually scan the tape at 19 times the normal playback speed. Releasing F.FWD returns the camcorder to fast forward.

Press the REW/REVIEW button during playback to play the tape backwards at approximately 7 times normal speed. Press the PLAY button to return to normal playback.

Press and hold the REW/REVIEW button during fast rewind to visually scan the tape backwards at 17 times the normal playback speed. Releasing REW/REVIEW returns the camcorder to fast rewind.

Note: When you engage F.FWD button or REW/REVIEW button the picture will have some interference or noise in the viewfinder. This is normal during search mode.

When the LCD monitor is open (Clear Search):

You can view pictures with less noise on the LCD monitor during forward or reverse search.

Press the F.FWD button during playback to play the tape forward at 6 times normal play speed. Press the PLAY button to resume normal playback.

Press and hold the F.FWD button during fast forward to visually scan the tape at 17 times the normal playback speed., Releasing F.FWD returns the camcorder to fast forward.

Press the REW/REVIEW button during playback to play the tape in reverse at 4 times normal speed. Press the PLAY button to resume normal playback.

Press and hold the REW/REVIEW button during fast rewind to visually scan the tape backwards at 15 times the normal playback speed. Releasing REW/REVIEW returns the camcorder to fast rewind.

Note: If you are using forward or reverse search with the LCD monitor closed, then you will not be able to view pictures with less noise when you open the monitor,

Note: Several noise bars will appear on the TV screen during forward or reverse search.

Note: A noiseless picture will not appear during high-speed search even if the LCD monitor is open,

Note: Noise may flow during high-speed search in low temperature conditions.
