Battery Information

Your scale has one lithium battery installed that will provide a long life of operation when used in a typical household.

Battery Replacement

1.Use 1 x CR2032 lithium battery only.

2.Open the battery cover on the back of the scale pushing the tab in the direction of the “open” arrow. If a screw or other fastener is securing the battery door, please remove first.

3.Insert a small screwdriver into the slot holding bracket and carefully pry up the battery until it pops out.

4.Place the new battery with the “+” sign up on an angle with one side under the tab opposite the holding bracket and push down.

5.Close the battery cover. Be sure it clicks shut. Replace any screws or fasteners to secure the battery door.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS

Do not mix old and new batteries.

Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (ni-cad, ni-mh, etc) batteries.

Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.

Remove used batteries promptly.

If the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, remove batteries to prevent damage due to possible battery leakage.

NOTE: Please recycle or dispose of batteries per local regulations.

WARNING: Batteries may pose a choking hazard. Do not let children handle batteries.

Low Battery

This scale is equipped with a low battery indicator. Replace the battery when “ ” is displayed or readings grow dim or become irregular.

Trouble Shooting

In case of difficulty:

1.Move your scale to a location where it will not be bumped. If your scale is bumped while being activated or while in use, an inaccurate reading may occur. Initialize the scale as described in FIRST TIME SETUP #4.

2.Make sure the battery is properly installed.
