OPERATION
AC Parallel Operation Applications
Follow the instructions included with the paralleloperation cables.
Before connecting an appliance or power cord to the generator:
Make sure that it is in good workingo rder.A faulty appliance or
power cordcan c reatea potential for electrical shock.
If an appliance begins to operate abnormally, becomes sluggish, or
stops suddenly, turn it off immediately. Disconnect the appliance,
and determine whetherthe problem is the appliance or the rated
load capacity of the generator has been exceeded.
Make sure that the combined electricalrating of the tools or
appliances do not exceed that of the generator. Never exceed the
maximum power rating of the generator. Power levels between
rated and maximummay be used for no more than 30 minutes.
Never connect different generator models.
Use only a Honda approved parallel operation cables (optional
equipment, see page ) when connecting two EU1000i generators
for parallel operation.
Never connect or removethe parallel operation cables when the
generator is running.
For single generator operation,the parallel operation cables must be
removed.
Substantial overloading that continuously lights the overload indicator(red) may damage the generator.Marginal overloading thattemporarily lights the overload indicator(red) may shorten the servicelife of the generator.
