HYDROSTATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID
TRANSMISSION
FLUIDRESERVOIR
UPPERLIMIT
LOWERLIMIT
Check the hydrostatic fluid level in the reservoir.
At temperatures below 4 °F ( 20 °C), fluid may not be visible in the
reservoir before operation, but should rise into the reservoir when the
transmissionwarms up.
Hydrostatic fluid expands and contracts with changes in temperature.
The UPPER and LOWER limit marks on the reservoirare calibrated for
room temperature fluid.
When checking the level of cold fluid, below room temperature, refer
to the temperature chartfor appropriate fluid levels (page ).
It is normal for the fluid level to riseabove the UPPER level mark when
snowblower operation warms the transmission.
