OPERATION
Using the Alignment Bracket to Aid Connection
Use the alignment bracket (as needed) to help vertically position the sulky’s hitch with the hitch bracket.
Typically, this procedure is necessary when a mower deck is mounted to the power unit, and the height
adjustment is set in the lower ranges.
1. Remove the spring clip and clevis pin from the
alignment bracket on the sulky’s crossbar.
As necessary, apply a small amount of general
purpose grease to the shank of the clevis pin.
2. Raise the alignment bracket up, then install the
clevis pin and spring clip in the side hole, so the
alignment bracket is held in the raised position.
3. Remove the lynch pin holding the adjusting lever
in the storage tube on the power unit. Remove
the adjusting lever from the storage tube.
4. Insert the adjusting lever into the alignment
bracket as shown.
5. Press the adjusting lever down enough to get the
hitch and hitch bracket holes to line up to allow
the clevis pin to drop all the way through.
6. Return the adjustment lever to the tube on the
power unit. Return the alignment bracket, clevis
pin and spring clip back to their original position.

ADJUSTING LEVER
Do not operate the sulky with the alignment bracket in the raised position. Damage to the sulky or the
lynch pin will occur. Always lower and lock the alignment bracket with the lynch pin before using the sulky.
