MAINTENANCE & ADJUSTMENTS

Wheel Alignment

Inspect and adjust (if needed) the alignment of the sulky’s wheels every 300 hours of operation.
Inspection
1. Position the machine on a flat, level surface.
Remove the ignition key and disconnect the
spark plug cap(s).
2. Move the sulky into a straight line directly behind
the commercial mower. Don’t use the tires as a
point of reference, but use the centerline of the
sulky instead.
3. Stand behind the sulky and look at the position
of the sulky’s wheels in relation to the back
wheels of the commercial mower.
4. If the sulky’s wheels are not parallel to the back
wheels of the commercial mower, adjust the
alignment.
5. Disconnect the steering rod from the right
bracket. Use a 3/4” wrench to loosen the jam nut
on the end of the steering rod.
6. If the sulky’s wheels are pointing to the right (as
shown in this illustration) turn the sleeve
assembly to lengthen the steering rod .
7. If the sulky’s wheels are pointing to the left, turn
the sleeve assembly to shorten the steering rod.
