Scan the Hands Free Time-Outbar code, then scan the time-out duration (from 0-300,000 milliseconds) from the inside back cover, and Save. Default = 5,000 ms.

Hands Free Time-Out

Reread Delay

This sets the time period before the imager can read the same bar code a sec- ond time. Setting a reread delay protects against accidental rereads of the same bar code. Longer delays are effective in minimizing accidental rereads at POS (point of sale). Use shorter delays in applications where repetitive bar code scanning is required. Default = Medium.

Reread Delay only works when in automatic trigger mode or presentation mode (see page 3-4).

Short (500 ms)

* Medium (750 ms)

Long (1000 ms)

Extra Long (2000 ms)

User-Specified Reread Delay

If you want to set your own length for the reread delay, scan the bar code below, then set the delay (from 0-30,000 milliseconds) by scanning digits from the inside back cover, then scanning Save.

Centering Window

Use the centering feature to narrow the imager’s field of view so the imager reads only the bar code you want. When centering is turned on, the imager only reads codes that intersect or are contained within the centering window you set up. At least part of a bar code must be within the window to be decoded or out- put by the imager.
