Press the mode buttons to select how the thermostat operates:
Auto: In this mode the thermostat follows a program schedule to maintain a comfortable temperature when you are home and reduce energy costs while you are away (see pages
Manual: This mode turns off the program schedule to maintain a constant temperature. Press the p or q buttons to set the temperature you want. The temperature will remain at the level you set until you change it, or until you press AUTO to resume the program schedule.
Off: When the thermostat is off, the heating system runs only as needed to maintain a minimum temperature to protect your home. This level is set at 5°C, but you can change it if necessary (see page 28).
NOTE: You can press any of these buttons — Auto, Manual or Off — to cancel any programming task and exit without saving changes.
