Cleaning carpeted stairs

Read “Before you begin cleaning” instructions on page 7.

Attach hose and solution tube as instructed on pages 9 and 10.

Fill clean solution tank according to instructions on pages 5 and 6. Use 5 ounces of HOOVER Carpet/Upholstery Detergent.

Hose length may require that machine be placed at the top of the stairs to clean upper half of stairway and at bottom of stairs to clean lower half.

To prevent machine from falling, use extra caution when cleaning on stairs. Do not place deep cleaner on stairs.

Do not point stair/upholstery nozzle at people or pets.

Dry hands and plug deep cleaner into a properly grounded outlet.

Turn deep cleaner ON.

Pre-spray the carpeted stair by holding the nozzle about one inch above the carpet and push the wand forward while pressing the solution trigger (equals one wet stroke).

Position nozzle against the riser and slightly press nozzle into carpet pile. Press the solution trigger and pull the nozzle slowly over the carpet (second wet stroke).

Release the trigger, lift nozzle, and position it against riser. Pull nozzle slowly over carpet without pressing trigger (dry stroke).

It is best to alternate wet and dry strokes as described above. End with more dry strokes to aid in faster drying of carpet.

Overlap strokes by one-half inch to help prevent streaking.

To avoid saturating carpet, do not use more than 4 wet strokes over any one area. Always end with dry strokes.

If additional cleaning is necessary, wait until the carpet is completely dry before using the nozzle again.

When finished cleaning, follow “After cleaning” instructions on page 8 and “After using stair/upholstery nozzle” instructions on pages 10-11.

Deep Cleaner specifications

The Hoover Deep Cleaner is a powerful and efficient cleaning machine designed to tackle tough stains and deep-seated dirt in carpets, upholstery, and other fabric surfaces. With a rich heritage in home cleaning technology, Hoover has incorporated advanced features that enhance the overall cleaning performance while ensuring ease of use.

One of the standout features of the Hoover Deep Cleaner is its Dual Spin Brush System. This innovative technology utilizes rotating brushes to agitate the carpet fibers, allowing the cleaner to penetrate deep into the fabric. As a result, it effectively loosens embedded dirt, pet hair, and stubborn stains, ensuring a thorough clean. The brushes are designed to be gentle yet effective, minimizing wear on carpets while maximizing cleaning power.

Another key feature of the Hoover Deep Cleaner is its large water tank capacity. With a spacious clean and dirty water tank, users can clean larger areas without the need for frequent refilling. This is especially beneficial for those with larger homes or multiple rooms that require deep cleaning. Additionally, the easy-to-remove tanks simplify the process of emptying and refilling, making the entire process more efficient.

Hoover incorporates cutting-edge cleaning technologies in their deep cleaners, such as HeatForce technology. This feature accelerates the drying time of carpets and upholstery by applying warm air directly to the cleaned surface. As a result, users can return to their spaces sooner without worrying about trapped moisture promoting mold and mildew growth.

The cleaner also boasts a range of user-friendly controls, making it straightforward to switch between different cleaning modes or adjust settings based on the specific cleaning task at hand. Whether tackling a pet stain, a high-traffic area, or routine maintenance cleaning, the Hoover Deep Cleaner adapts to meet diverse cleaning needs.

For convenience, many models come equipped with specialized tools, such as a stair tool and an upholstery tool, allowing users to effectively clean various surfaces beyond just carpets. These tools help target tough stains in difficult-to-reach areas, extending the versatility of the deep cleaner.

In summary, the Hoover Deep Cleaner combines advanced technologies, user-friendly features, and robust cleaning performance, making it an essential tool for those looking to maintain a clean and healthy home environment. Its durability and effectiveness against tough stains make it a reliable choice for households of all sizes, ensuring carpets and upholstery remain in excellent condition.
