Setting up the all-in-one product
Unbox and set up the product, using the product documentation and electronic device setup assistant. Consider the following:
•Is the user documentation and installation and setup software helpful?
•How does the overall product design contribute to ease of setup?
•How well are you able to install and interact with supplies?
Testing product software
1Note which platforms and printer languages the drivers support.
2After you have installed drivers and other device software, print some test pages. Document any driver or software changes performed during testing.
3Evaluate the product software:
•Are the drivers
•What special software or tools are available?
•What special features or utilities does each driver or tool include?
Interacting with the control panel
Try the various control panel functions. When comparing products, consider the following:
•In general, is the control panel easy to use?
•How easy is it to determine device, job, and print cartridge status?
•Can you easily make copies from the control panel?
•Can you electronically send documents and images from the control panel?
