5You may create a new WEP encryption key by either generating a passphrase or manually entering a key. The passphrase method is recommended, but you may need to create a manual key to meet the requirements of existing wireless equipment on your network. Check your documentation or with your system administrator. Choose one of the following options:
❑To generate an encryption key with a passphrase (recommended):
1Enter a text string in the Passphrase box; the string may be up to 31 alphanumeric characters.
2Click Generate.
3Click Apply.
❑To generate an encryption key manually:
1Fill in keys 1 through 4.
