Environmental Requirements
WARNING: Read all of the installation instructions before you connect the system to its power source.
Never touch uninsulated telephone wires or terminals unless the telephone line has been disconnected at the network interface.
Do not operate the system unless all faceplates and covers are in place. Faceplates and cover panels serve three important functions: They prevent exposure to hazardous voltages and currents inside the chassis; they contain electromagnetic interference (EMI) that could disrupt other equipment; and they direct the flow of cooling air through the chassis.
To prevent personal injury or damage to the chassis, lift the chassis from beneath its lower edge.

System Grounding Requirements
Damage from electrotatic discharge (ESD) can occur when electronic components are improperly handled. This damage can result in complete or intermittent system failures. Proper ESD protection is required whenever you handle equipment. It is not necessary to open the chassis to add or remove any components. The unit has no replaceable parts inside it.
